Did Airbus Copy Boeing?

This post is about one of the most seen arguments, "Airbus copied Boeing" and then the reply is "The 767, 777 and 787 are all copies of the A300" and that Boeing copied fbw from Airbus. However there is something missing a key fact that has been ignored. Do you know what it is?

So then sometimes there's a comment Boeing has been building passenger jets for about 60 years as were the companies that became Airbus, this is close but it's still not the best backed up.
The answer that changes the whole Airbus copied Boeing is this Boeing and Douglas may have produced the first jets but they were small and only rich people could fly with them and they were the size of a private jet.
But the first passenger plane and the first design that all airlines use the concept of was the De Havilland Comet. It was a Europe built plane and now De Havilland is a major contributer to Airbus as you all have heard of De Havilland Airbus so if anything Airbus did not copy Boeing and it would be Boeing that copied Airbus.
How ever you may ask how does who copied who change anything almost everything in the world is a copy Mercedes built the first car all other companies copied their idea, but this is a major part in the world and it  helps advance the idea. If Boeing and Airbus hadn't copied the Wright's Brothers idea of the plane the plane would be the same as it was 100 years ago. Every company play's a significant role in the advancement of the product. So I just find the argument a) pointless and b) incorrect, thanks  for reading and see you in the next post.
